Blueberry Cream Cheese Puffs

This is my own combination of a couple different similar recipes I found on Allthecooks as well. They turned out better than I could have imagined! I used blueberries, but I’m sure pretty much and kind of fruit would be tasty, or maybe a couple chocolate chips or a piece of caramel to make it less breakfast-y and more of a dessert!

You’ll need:

2 cans croissant dough
8oz cream cheese
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
cinnamon and sugar mixed to taste
blueberries (or fruit of your choice!)
1/2 stick butter (melted)

Preheat oven to 350

Step 1: Mix the cream cheese and vanilla extract in a bowl. I also added a little bit of honey! (Who doesn’t love honey?)

Step 2: Unroll the dough and pull apart the triangles, lay them out on a baking sheet.

Step 3: Brush the triangles with the melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Step 4: Use a spoon to portion little balls of cream cheese onto the triangles. Add a few blueberries on top of the cream cheese.

Step 5: Pinch the dough together to form little balls.

Step 6: Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray, arrange balls on the sheet, brush the tops of them again with butter, and sprinkle more cinnamon seugar mix on top of those badboys.

Bake until they’re golden brown on top, and they’re done!

They were incredible warm out of the oven, and they make a pretty damn good breakfast cold in the morning. I will be experimenting with all kinds of fruit combos for the filling in the future!
