Finger Paints “Main Art-Traction”

Practicing my no chips while I was on a mini vacation to Woodsmoke-

Here we’ve got Finger Paints gel polish in “Main Art-Traction”. It’s a nice neon fuschia/purple that’s very creamy and completely opaque in two coats. My client wanted an accent nail of ASP “Studio 54” and some bling, and told me to do whatever I want which I always love hearing!

Back to school nails!

I felt like I couldn’t walk into my first day of nail school with naked nails or ugly polish on, so I did a quick no chip the night before. I decided on a bright summery purple with a simple glitter accent nail.

Finger Paints “Lots of Luau”

I can never pass up the clearance bins at Sally’s (or anywhere that has nail polish!) and this color was one of those purchases. How cool is this lime green packed with glitter though?

Here I cheated a little bit; I didn’t really feel like taking the time to put on a whole new set of acrylics but my nails were super short, so I just used glue on full nails and filed them to the shape I wanted. Shown here is two coats of “Lots of Luau”.

LeChat Mood Changing “Lost Lagoon”

I’ve been doing a lot of manicures using LeChat Mood Changing gel polish lately, but that’s because it’s so friggin’ cool! The color change is dramatically noticeable in all the colors I own, and you can just watch your nail change right before your eyes.

When this polish is warm, it’s a pretty, soft seafoam green color. For this look I topped it with one coat of Finger Paints “Geodesic Dome We Rome” which is the little iridescent  blue glitters you see. And I can’t say no to some bling, so diamond accent nail it is.

Fun fact- these are the nails I was wearing when Kyle proposed! I knew it was coming, so I had to keep them looking good for a few weeks, I couldn’t have bad looking nails for ring pictures 😉

When “Lost Lagoon” is cold, it turns this beautiful turquoisey-blue.

Blinged Out Snowflake

Maybe I’ve felt like snowflake manis because we haven’t really had snow? Who knows, but I really like the way this diamond and caviar bead snowflake turned out.

Here I started with two coats of ASP “Blue Bayou” then topped that with a coat of Finger Paints “A Muse Me” to give it a shimmer.

Wintery Blues

Blue describes how I always feel during the winter. I just hate walking outside to freezing cold weather, don’t you? Though we’ve been lucky for Chicago winter weather this year, I still prefer 70+! Here is my first cold weather feels mani, using some of my favorite stickers to fancy it up.

This is two coats of Finger Paints “Before I Believe it’s Blue”. Who comes up with these names? Do they get tired of being so punny? Haha.

Candy cane nails for Mom

My parents always go down to visit my mom’s side in Georgia over christmas week, so we got together the weekend before. My parents got me a couple new gel polish colors and a gel kit from Finger Paints, as well as a heated foot massage bath which I have been loving! My mom had specified she wanted her nails to be fancy for while she was in GA, so I broke out the new polishes right away to give her some seasonal nails. She liked the candy cane charms I had bought, so that’s the theme we went with.

I only used one coat of ASP “Selfish” since she likes a more sheer look. The white stripes are hand painted using Finger Paints “Stay True to the Art”. She was super impressed that the candy canes stayed on so well, she thought they would fall off!
