Kleancolor “Green Grass”

A polish true to  it’s name, “Green Grass” is the color of your lawn on a perfect summer day. I love bold colors, and this shade of green is beautiful.

This creamy polish applied like a dream- opaque in two coats as shown in the photo. I didn’t use a top coat, or more importantly, any base coat. Greens have a tendency to stain your nail if you don’t use a base coat, and this one didn’t leave any stain on my nails or cuticles after removing it. As you can see, it’s a pretty high gloss even without the top coat. I’ll be bringing this one back around for St. Patty’s day for sure!

Kleancolor “Barbie Pink”

One of my christmas presents this past year from my parents was a net Wacom tablet, which I am super excited about. Instead of just having phone pictures edited with the basic photo editing apps available, I am going to work on actually editing my photos, and once I build myself a new lighting box I’ll ditch the phone all together for a real camera. So prepare for more professional photos!

Here, I have a swatch of Kleancolor “Barbie Pink”. As usual, I’ve used two coats here, with no top or base coat. I’m not a huge pink person, so this isn’t a polish I use often; which might be why it was kind of thick to apply. I do remember when it was newer it was still a thicker creamy polish so either way, try to apply thin layers. It’s opaque in two coats, but one looks pretty on it’s own. The finish is mostly glossy but would look much shinier with a top coat.

Hey Mr. DJ! Swatch

Here’s a swatch for Finger Paints “Hey Mr. DJ!” It’s a lovely black based somewhat transparent polish packed with tiny silver, purple and blue glitter. Here I used two coats to make it pretty much completely opaque. It applies smooth and dries pretty quickly!

Swatch Saturday: Kleancolor “Twinkly Sunrise”

Kleancolor’s “Twinkly Sunrise” is a deep orange with silver specked undertones and medium sized silver glitter. It’s somewhat transparent with two coats of the polish, three might make it opaque. (As well as more glittery!) Applies smoothly and evenly.

Swatch Sunday: Kleancolor “Pink Fairy”

Kleancolor’s “Pinky Fairy” is a very light pearly pink with different sized silver glitter. It’s pretty transparent, and could be worn without a topcoat as it is very shiny, but it isn’t completely smooth and seems a little textured.

Swatch Sunday: Kleancolor “Salsa”

Kleancolor’s “Salsa” is an eye catching salmon-y orange hued pink with a pearly finish. Must be a mango salsa! (Yum!) It applies smoothly and is pretty see through after two coats. It is very shiny though, and could get away with out a topcoat.

Swatch Saturday: Kleancolor “Love Is In The Air”

Kleancolor’s “Love is in the Air” is a pretty frozen looking pink. It is pearly with almost an opal look to it. Somewhat see through after two coats, it applies smoothly and is pretty shiny on it’s own.

Swatch Saturday: Kleancolor “Pearl Pink”

Kleancolor’s “Pearl Pink” is girly and pearly. Slightly see through after two coats, it applies super smooth. Watch your brush strokes, as they’re somewhat visible in the pearly texture.

Swatch Sunday: Kleancolor “Barbie Pink”

Kleancolor’s “Barbie Pink” is *exactly* Barbie pink. You know, the color everything Barbie owned was? That one. It’s super bright, and somewhat thick to apply but it doesn’t effect how it looks. It dries somewhat matte and needs a top coat to be super shiny. As always, my swatches are two coats.
