Bloody Bear Claws

For the Halloween party at Woodsmoke this year, Kyle and I got super awesome bear masks. The mouth even moved with your mouth! Somewhere there’s a picture of bear me taking a shot, and I hope I can find it! I had to have matching claw nails, and this time I did my acrylic extensions much longer than I usually do. Somehow I still managed to get my contacts in and out without injury! They’re supposed to look like the tips are bloody with the red glitter, and since I was off work I blinged them out. (I’m not technically supposed to have rhinestones or anything that could fall off on my nails… but that’s so boring!)

I’m super sad that my camera was smudged so this isn’t the best picture, but oh well. I should have taken more photos of them, but I was so busy decorating and partying that I completely forgot.

wrapped wire poinsettia ring

 

 

i’m enjoying having all kinds of colors of wire to work with, and it’s giving me more ideas as well. this ring is meant to look like a poinsettia flower, and ended up rather big but looks pretty cool. the band of the ring looks like this:

a friend of mine saw all the beaded flower rings and asked if i could make her some without any beads, and this is the first attempt! i bought a whole pack of different colors of wire, so i’m going to have fun with all the colors and make lots of different things. plus i got a ton of beads and things from my parents for christmas also, so i’ve got all kinds of crafting ahead of me.

the middle is gold, the petals and band silver to resemble a daisy.

 

purple and white flower ring

 

two flowers in one, a purple plastic one held in place by a clear bead, and white seed beads forming petals around the purple flower. the ring is around a size 6 or 7 since i’m wearing it on my ring finger. the band of the ring looks like this:

this one’s pretty fun, different from the other rings i’ve been making. still made with wrapped copper wire, this ring has a bunch of little spikes that kind of look like a firework exploding.

the ring is probably a size 7 or 8 as i’m wearing it on my middle finger. the band of the ring looks like this:

use all the colors! really, every color i have of glass seed beads, making a rainbow flower. the middle has a couple plastic round beads. it is made out of copper wire, and is probably a size 6 or 7 since i’m wearing it on my ring finger. the back of the ring looks like this:

a simple pink plastic flower circled by two rings of white glass seed beads, with a coiled band. the ring is probably a size 7 or 8 since i’m wearing it on my middle finger. the band of the ring looks like this:

a cheerful multicolored seed bead flower ring made with copper wire. the ring is about a size 6 or 7 since i’m wearing it on my ring finger. it has a pretty yellow pearl plastic bead in the center. the band of the ring looks like this:

robin’s nest ring

truthfully, i had no idea what to call this ring. the blue and white beads kind of remind me of robin’s eggs, and the twisted metal like the twigs in a bird’s nest, so i guess it’s a robin’s nest ring. it’s made with copper wire, and is probably a size 7 or 8 since i’m wearing it on my middle finger. i guess it could even be a men’s ring since it’s a bit thicker than the other rings i’ve made which are more feminine. the band of the ring looks like this:
