Throwback Thursday: St. Patrick’s Day 2016

For the holiday, let’s take a look at some festive nails I did last year!

My mom loves having sheer sparkly nails, so I did two coats of ASP “Shimmer Top Coat” as a base. I then removed the tacky layer and added some shamrock stickers, and a couple kitties she really liked. These stickers are nice and thin so you couldn’t even really tell they were there under the topcoat.

I went a little bit more bold with my nails:

Used the same stickers over LeChat Mood Changing “Limelight”. I am obsessed with these gel polishes because they change color depending on how hot or cold your fingers are. This color turns a dark green, and I love the subtle gold shimmer.

Wintery Blues

Blue describes how I always feel during the winter. I just hate walking outside to freezing cold weather, don’t you? Though we’ve been lucky for Chicago winter weather this year, I still prefer 70+! Here is my first cold weather feels mani, using some of my favorite stickers to fancy it up.

This is two coats of Finger Paints “Before I Believe it’s Blue”. Who comes up with these names? Do they get tired of being so punny? Haha.

Throwback Thursday: Pastel Posies

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you all get to stuff yourselves past any reasonable point full of delicious food and spend some time with the people you love!

Tried my hand at putting some shorter claw nails on this time… Added glitter and flower stickers that reminded me of puff paint.

White “Bandana” Look

With stickers! I’ve been wanting to use these black and silver stickers that I think I got from my mom for Christmas for quite a while now but I can never make up my mind on what I want to do with my nails lately. The patterns kinda remind of a bandana though they’re not quite paisley. I couldn’t really figure out what I wanted to do with my thumb, and I kinda wish I hadn’t put the four point star stickers on the sides of the middle sticker on my pointer and ring finger, but that’s ok.

My Sinful Colors “Snow Me White” is starting to get down to the bottom and thick since I use it as a base coat so often, I’m going to have to get more! (Or find another color that is as opaque white as this shade is in one coat. I’m finding now that it’s older and thicker, even after drying there’s tiny bubbles all over in the finish. You can kind of see them on my thumb there. I’m gonna try some polish thinner I have, but it might be time to say bye bye to this bottle! 😦

to get the look on all the blue nails, i started with two coats of sinful colors “blue by you” and layered two more coats of sinful colors “faceted” over it. both polishes have an aquamarine/turquoise undertone to them and in good light these nails look like the ocean. i left my little snowman from my christmas nails because neither hand chipped the snowman and i thought he was too cute 🙂
